Architecture and Interior Design by Axis Architects and Urban Planners for the Building Construction Department, Govt. of Jharkhand.
The building form and elevation is designed taking cues from elements of the Raj Bhawan and the Audrey House which are in close vicinity to the site at Police lines. The terracotta tile sloping roof, arches, deep verandahs, the grand portico, the grills, railings and cornices are all detailed to give a very classical appearance. The simplicity in planning as a traditional guest house , amalgamation of traditional art forms at suitable locations and grandeur in interiors with wood was the essence of design. The traditional murals on the building elevation and the verandah are executed by renowned artist Shri Vinod Ranjan ji in the theme of various facets of life in Jharkhand. There are a total of 9 rooms and 2 suites in the guest house. Additionally a conference hall and dining hall with kitchen have also been provided. The suite rooms with their verandah sit-outs have a view of the garden and fountain.
