Bihar Engineering University at Patna (UNBUILT) – (short listed entry)

Design competition by BCD, Bihar.

Our proposal derives inspirations from the ancient Nalanda University of Bihar, whose ruins stand in a stepped manner. The administration block has been designed in a stepped manner so that the volume of the G+3 floor building is broken and gives a gentle stepped look with exposed brick walls all around. The landscape is designed to complement the architecture of the campus. A steeped access rises up in the central area which takes up to the top floor of building with access at different levels.
